Welcome back to our reveal series of the Bloom Project! This week we’re continuing through the main level remodel into the living room. This space was designed to be multi-functional for this client.
Last week we revealed the bright and airy kitchen design, featuring a variety of storage solutions throughout the custom cabinetry, beautiful brass lighting fixtures, unique island and cozy breakfast nook. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen, and these rooms were designed to seamlessly flow together while mixing metals and bringing in a few subtle textures in the living area.

What a beautiful space this turned out to be! A lot of quality time is to be had in this classic and cozy living room. This space, like the kitchen, is right off the entryway and it sets the tone for the rest of the home. It is filled with natural light and detailed customizations.
Initial Goals for the Project
For the design phase of the living room, Danielle’s clients’ were looking for one side of the built-in cabinetry to be a desk area, rather than having a home office in a separate room. The right side would become just that. With custom file drawers, and mail slots in the cabinet above the desk, this space will be productive! A client request was a pull-out table so she could work while cozied up by the fire and enjoying her favorite daytime TV show. The top drawer on the desk bank of cabinets pulls out to become a table.
The other side of this living space was designed for storage and display. The drawers are filled with games, blankets and movies, and the shelves are customized with lighting to showcase accessories.
On the other side of this gorgeous living room is the custom pantry we shared as part of the kitchen reveal, and also a fantastic bar area.
The bar was originally going to be phase two of this remodel but the client loved how her living room was coming together so much that she decided to refresh the bar now with some paint, hardware, and new countertops.
