Overall favorite: Mocha Mousse

Most controversial: Cinnamon Slate

Most difficult to pronounce: Bosc Pear (bossk, not boshk)

Easiest to incorporate: Malabar and Sunbleached

Most difficult to incorporate: Mauve Finery

How to Incorporate these Colors

Clove interior design selections

Clove can easily be incorporated as a wood tone, a countertop, a wall covering, or even plumbing. Decor's Black Fox paint, Cobblestone stain on Clear Alder, and Charcoal stain on plain-sawn Red Oak are all standard color offerings that are very close to Clove.

Malabar Interior Selections

Malabar is a yellow/grey beige that we often see in tile and countertops, wall coverings, and even painted cabinets. Decor's Putnam Ivory and Cottage White on Clear Alder are two standard cabinet color offerings that are almost the same as Malabar.

Grounded interior selections

Grounded is a reddish brown tone that we see in wall coverings, paint, leather, wood tones, and metal fixtures such as Brizo's Brilliance Polished Gold (pictured) and Delta's Champagne Bronze. Decor's Loft stained Walnut is an almost exact match to Grounded.

White Snow and Sunbleached interior selections

White Snow and Sunbleached are creamy whites that are easy to incorporate. Whether it's a paint color for walls or cabinets, a tile or countertop, fabric, wallpaper, or even plumbing, there's always a demand for white. Sunbleached is almost identical to Decor's American White standard paint cabinet color, and White Snow is very similar to their Cloud White paint.

Mocha Mousse Interior Selections

Mocha Mousse is a subdued terracotta hue that you can find in tile and stone, wallpaper, and metal fixtures like Kohler's Rose Gold. It's a little more pink than most stained wood tones, but Decor's Terrace stain on Cherry is pretty close with the Cherry adding that red undertone. Decor's Pueblo Brown stain is also similar, but not as orange as Mocha Mousse.

Cinnamon Slate interior design selections

Cinnamon Slate is similar to Mocha Mousse but cooler with berry undertones. You can find Cinnamon Slate as a paint color for walls or cabinetry, it's in wallpaper, countertops, and textiles. None of Decor's standard paint colors match it exactly. Poised Taupe is a bit more grey, Driftscape Tan is lighter, and Quixotic Plum is a much richer purple.

Chartreuse interior selections

Bold, electric, and impossible to ignore, Chartreuse is the vibrant love child of yellow and green. This striking hue adds a playful, modern edge while still feeling fresh and sophisticated when used thoughtfully. While we don't have a standard paint color even close to Chartreuse, we love the idea of using this color in a tile, textiles, or wallpaper.

Mauve Finery interior selections

Mauve Finery is a bright, bold lilac with strong pink undertones. Wallpapers and fabrics are going to be the best way to incorporate this color in your home. Another fun way to incorporate would be through tile or even grout! Driftscape Tan is the closest cabinet color we have, and it's more of a light mauve than Mauve Finery.

Rain Cloud interior design selections

Moody, sophisticated, and endlessly versatile, Rain Cloud is a deep teal that strikes a balance between bold and timeless. You can incorporate this hue in your cabinetry color with Decor's Narragansett Green, and it also creates a striking surprise as veining in countertops. Wallpaper and upholstery, like this leather sample, are unexpected ways to incorporate this color in your home.

Bosc Pear interior selections

Bosc Pear is a rich, golden hue that exudes warmth, depth, and a touch of vintage charm, bringing to mind the antique tapestries that we've seen so much of recently. Bosc Pear carries the earthy sophistication of mustard with the lively vibrance of marigold, and works as a paint color for walls or cabinetry, wall coverings, or tile. The color appears naturally in marble or marble-esque countertops as well as brass hardware or plumbing fixtures like Delta's Brilliance Polished Brass. Decor's Wilmington Tan is a more muted variation of the hue.
