NATURAL contemporary REMODEL
PETITE GRANDEUR
Located in Maple Grove, this outdated kitchen wasn’t working for our clients and was in desperate need of an update to improve functionality. They reached out to Revival House to solve their kitchen dilemma, and the outcome was a kitchen that was truly grand in regard to function and beauty while fitting within the parameters of their existing space. It was exactly what they wanted.
The new kitchen reflects an appreciation for balance, organization, and good taste. An elegant, classic cabinetry door style from Decor painted in Edgecomb Gray, a beige with pink undertones, graces the perimeter of the kitchen. The island is constructed in rift-cut oak cabinetry with a rich brown stain, enhanced by a quartz waterfall countertop providing ample space for seating. White oak flooring throughout the main level keeps the spaces cohesive and pairs perfectly with the cabinet color choices.
A full-height, natural-toned zellige backsplash adorns the sink wall and introduces texture, adding visual interest while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Utilizing neutral colors such as whites, soft grays and beiges ensures a light and airy atmosphere. Customized cabinet additions like brass wire mesh inserts and honey bronze cabinet hardware projects a sense of luxury and shine that this kitchen deserves.
It’s all about the details in this grand kitchen – beautiful while maximizing efficiency and ensuring that everything has its place to avoid clutter and maintain a tidy appearance. Smart storage solutions like pull-out spice racks, two larders with pocket doors on each side of the range, a base cabinet drawer with divided slots for easy storage, and built-in, easily accessible storage nooks on each side of the range, makes this kitchen user-friendly and practical. Attention to detail, like a custom routed cabinet door made to match the rest of the drawers on the island, makes this kitchen extraordinary.
No expense was spared when it came to appliances. Brands like Sub Zero, Wolf, Cove and Thermador were installed to make this kitchen truly high-end. These panel-ready appliances create a seamless expanse of cabinetry befitting the most exclusive of kitchens. The six-burner range is surrounded by stunning and easy to clean, full-height quartz backsplash and the Neolith-clad range hood sets this kitchen apart by its grand opulence making it the focal point of this gorgeous kitchen. A coffee station was a must-have for this busy couple complete with a cabinet dedicated to cups, mugs, and coffee essentials. The custom pull-out shelf is useful, stylish and essential when fixing a daily cup of coffee.
By combining these elements effectively, Revival House achieved a small yet impactful kitchen remodel that seamlessly blends form and function while staying true to a minimal, neutral design concept. As trends come and go, this petite but grand transitional kitchen will stand the test of time and serve this family for years to come.
