TWO-TONED MID CENTURY KITCHEN
This kitchen remodel embodies a stunning, two-toned, Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. The Wynnbrooke cabinetry incorporates "Frost" painted wall cabinets and "Coastal" stained rift-cut white oak base cabinets, creating a beautiful contrast between the two finishes. The buffet adjacent to the kitchen is also rift-cut White Oak in the "Coastal" stain. This repeated cabinetry finish, along with the new Hallmark "Neroli" Oak flooring that spans the entire main level, creates cohesion throughout the design.
While the layout of the kitchen didn't change much, a couple of small changes made a huge impact on the aesthetic and functionality of the kitchen. The first and most obvious difference is the addition of a broom closet/pantry to the right of the refrigerator. The peninsula may look the same, but a second glace reveals the extra wide drawer bank facing the kitchen, and space for two chairs along with an extra drawer bank facing the table and buffet area. This extra bank of drawers provides bonus storage where there would typically be voided space.
Gray accents add a natural, contemporary spin to this kitchen design. The Silestone Quartz countertops in Seaport Suede mimic concrete with a subtle texture. Riverside cabinet pulls in Ash Gray add a minimal, modern touch that complements the overall design of the space.
Contemporary flair is sprinkled throughout the kitchen, most noticeably in the Samsung dishwasher and refrigerator. These stainless steel appliances along with a GE Monogram range, a Blanco sink, and a Delta faucet offer contemporary style along with functionality.
This Two-Toned Mid-Century Modern Kitchen remodel successfully combines style and functionality, resulting in a stunning and inviting space that reflects the timeless appeal of mid-century design with a contemporary twist.
