ORGANIC ELEGANCE KITCHEN REMODEL

When this client came to us, she envisioned a bright and airy space, soaked in natural sunlight. She also wanted to maximize the kitchen’s storage potential and create a more efficient workflow. With the help of kitchen and bath designer Bre Perrigo, a dreamy, transitional kitchen was brought to life through organic details, a custom color palette, and thoughtful design.

To start the remodel process, the mudroom was closed off from the kitchen to create more wall space for cabinetry, and a large island was installed to maximize counterspace and seating. In addition, two windows flanking the range were included to allow for more natural light.

Another goal for this design was to keep the space bright but also soft and inviting. The solution was a custom wall color that combined grey and beige to create “greige”! This stunning combination was a Sherwin-Williams custom color match to Benjamin Moore’s OC-27 Balboa Mist.

Sherwin-Williams' Shoji White paint color on the Décor cabinets, and the cream boucle fabric on the stools bring a soft, organic feel to the space. The gold hardware adds a touch of luxury and sophistication, while the grey island and greige walls provide a neutral backdrop that allows the other elements to shine. Together, these elements create a transitional kitchen that's both elegant and inviting.

Storage and efficiency were also a key focus of the kitchen’s design. The space features a variety of custom storage elements including refrigerated beverage drawers, vertical pan storage, a tiered spice pull-out, pantry roll-outs, microwave storage, and more.

The subtle warmth of the greige walls, timeless sophistication, and functional storage design came together to create a truly timeless kitchen that these homeowners will enjoy for many years to come.

The new mudroom includes a boot bench, locker storage, and a drop-zone bank of drawers with space for a kennel and a door with a custom cat cut-out for the litter box!
